Pace is shown as minutes:seconds per 100 m in a 50 m pool; for example, 01:15 means 1 minute 15 seconds. Flow, power and maximum velocity are reference ratings—not your personal operating setting. Maximum jet velocity is not the same as swimming pace.

With a known pace, the selector picks the smallest model whose published reference pace is at least as fast as your entered pace. A pace faster than 01:15 requires specialist review; there is no extrapolation beyond the table.

Without a pace, Desert Grove’s starting-point logic is: leisure/therapy → 160; fitness → 160 for beginner, 275 for intermediate, 320 for advanced; endurance → 275 for beginner/intermediate or 320 for advanced; performance → 550. These are qualitative suggestions, not manufacturer-certified prescriptions. A two-person separated layout is referred for bespoke review with a Twin 550 performance reference.

We have not recalculated or averaged the supplied figures. The comparison benchmarks are used for preliminary selection on both pages; the final installed configuration must be checked.

For a pool in design or early construction, an integrated SwimJet is the starting choice, provided the required cavities and provisions can still be coordinated with the builder. For an already constructed pool, start with the Retrofit range. The final installation route depends on the actual pool and site details.

We position Remco as the training-focused, professional-grade range for structured fitness, endurance and performance swimming, while Vikstar is primarily our leisure and recreational-exercise option. Model choice still matters: the Remco 160 suits gentler swimming, remedial exercise and family use, while the 550 is the high-intensity option. A larger model can be turned down; it does not have to be used at maximum output.

These are indicative benchmarks, not guaranteed swim performance or an exact calculation of your personal water-flow requirement. Without a known pace, it provides a labelled starting-point suggestion from your level and goal.

Yes, with a specifically designed layout: the pool must accommodate two separate cavities and the jets must be far enough apart for comfortable stroke movement. Desert Grove would design and review this arrangement. It must not be assumed that the standard twin housing, especially a standard Retrofit unit in an existing pool, automatically provides two separate swimming lanes.

No. Both jets in a twin system operate at the same speed because they share a single control box. This can work well for swimmers of similar ability, but may not suit two swimmers whose strength or pace differs noticeably.

Technically, separate single SwimJets and control boxes can be installed, but we do not recommend operating side-by-side streams at different speeds. Running adjacent streams at different speeds can create a whirlpool effect, turbulence and disruption of the swim stream, producing an unsatisfactory swimming experience. We recommend a coordinated same-speed layout or taking turns instead.

A 10 m × 4 m pool can work well with a twin system when the jets are adequately separated and the layout is designed for comfortable strokes. When splitting the system into separated swimming positions, the recommendation is to assess the 550 m³/h option to maintain performance. This remains a custom layout subject to drawings, stroke clearance and site review, not an automatic approval for every pool of that size.

Our positioning recommendation is the deeper end of the pool, ideally around 2 m water depth, with the swimmer approximately 1.5–2 m away from the SwimJet. The 2 m figure describes a preferred pool depth at that end; it is not a turbine mounting depth or a universal minimum. Final cavity details, outlet level and clearances must follow the selected model’s approved construction drawings.

Yes, both skimmer and overflow pools can be considered. Our stated starting minimum is a pool 5 m long and 2.5 m wide. Actual dimensions, water depth, coping or overflow details, mounting conditions and electrical provision must still be checked. These minimum dimensions do not establish enough width for two swimmers side by side.

The app supports setting the duration and a consistent speed before swimming, changing settings during a swim, preset training programs, customised programs, 100 speed variations, progress history, favourite programs and sharing programs by QR code. The linked video also guides on/off operation and the parameters for the remote control and piezo switch.

Remco specifies an Ethernet port in the pool equipment room or a Wi-Fi extender for app operation. The network provision and compatibility of the selected controls should be checked during the installation planning.

The approximate delivery lead time for both integrated Remco SwimJet and Remco Retrofit SwimJet systems is 6–7 weeks. The delivery schedule, final scope and installation arrangements are confirmed in the project quotation and order.

Prices are indicative and remain subject to the selected equipment, pool conditions and agreed project scope. A custom separated two-swimmer layout should not be priced automatically as a standard package.
