How Smart Fence works
Each section is concealed in a recessed housing built into the pool surround. When activated, the system raises the mesh barrier to approximately 1.25 metres. When protection is no longer required, the fence retracts into the deck and the handrail returns to finished floor level.

When the pool is in supervised use, Smart Fence retracts into the surrounding deck, opening the view between the water, garden and home. Raise it again when a physical boundary is required.

Designed to blend into the pool surround
When retracted, the visible top edge can be coordinated with the surrounding deck. The standard black aluminium handrail cover can be replaced with a finish using approximately 1 cm thick paving or compatible decking, helping the retracted system blend into the poolside material palette.
This makes early coordination with the pool designer, landscape contractor and civil contractor particularly valuable. The fence line, access gate, drainage, power, controller position and final finishes should be planned together.

The housings are anchored to the concrete base using their support legs and accurately levelled to the finished-floor datum. After installation, the surrounding paving or decking is completed up to the handrail recess so the system sits cleanly within the pool deck.
